“Excellent location but rough around the edges”
The hotel commands a perfect location for the old town and the tourist attractions of the city. However, the facility is large and through the sheer numbers who stay, it will need sprucing. Our room was okay, but the bed was soft and thin and, with the noise, from the night club, and the plonking of the piano, sleep didn't come that well. Trams also rattle past close by at all times. Breakfast room was manic on day one and a member of staff had to be persuaded to open a closed section, which obviously needed to be used. Plenty of choice for brekkie in the morning, no tea and coffee facilities in the room. There are a number of businesses which trade in the hotel, including a bottle store. Didn't use the leisure suite, bit there is an indoor swimming pool and sauna. We only paid £43 a night so can't quibble too much... and the location is ideal.
